Sty(LUX) Chronicles: Target Style, I Love You!

27 Jun

IFB Project #101

If you’ve been keeping up with me here on the blog & on my other social networks, you already know how serious my love for Target is. That’s definite my go to store for EVERYTHING. But mostly, that’s my #1 pick when shopping for clothes.

With the variety of both your weekend style & looks for the office, Target has it all. Not only are the prices very reasonable, but the quality is great. There’s not a day that goes by, where Target style is not incorporated in my outfit. I can honestly say, I’m legit addicted!

The best thing ever, are the collaborations Target style does with awesome designers and brands. I’m trying to wait patiently but I’m so anxious for 3.1 Phillip Lim to drop his collection on September 15th of this year at Targets worldwide.

It goes without a doubt how badly I would love to work with Target Style. Promoting, hosting, & networking worldwide as the face of Target Style. I have goosebumps with just the thought of it.

Here are some of my favorite outfits where Target Style is featured!

Chambray shirt, Cargo Pants, & Pumps from Target

White Tee, Colored Pants, & Pumps from Target.

Bracelets, Clutch, & Pumps from Target.

I know I’m not the only one looking uber stylish in my Target wear. Follow me on Instagram & Twitter @StyluxByKJay & hash tag #StyluxLovesTarget.

Cropped Top Diaries: Look #2 (DIY)

This cropped top look consist of two trends in one. Not only are cropped tops hot this season, so is color blocking. Don’t be afraid, neither one are your enemies, just make them work for you!

DIY Project:
I took this regular H&M tank & put a nice little knot in the front for that cropped top effect.

A White T Weekend!

5 May

Happy May! I know I’m like 4 days late, but better late then never. I’m finally able to catch my breath & get my thoughts straight. It’s like I’m forever doing a million and five things! But that’s neither here nor there.
This weekend was extremely awesome! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a couple cool people. I’ve met with the owner and founder of a new online store Dear Laney (make sure you check out they’re cool vintage pieces), & you won’t believe this. I ran into Dylana, from Color Me Nana and the face of Free People!! I can’t believe it, I’m still in shock!
In the meantime I paired up with Eboni over at The Fashionista Next Door for her highly anticipated Style Me Friday. This weeks inspiration was your basic white t shirt.

(My complete outfit is from Target, including the shoes. The ribbon belt and clutch are thrifted.)

My baby cousin couldn’t get over the silver tip on my pumps. He just kept pointing.

Here’s Cali, the owner & founder of Dear Laney, and Dylana from Color Me NaNa. How cool are they, well WE? Hahaa.

STYLELIXIR Style Sessions

Casual Pencil Skirt , Sty(LUX) Way.

12 Apr

Yayy, it’s Friday! Finally, we’ve made it through the week. With school & work kicking my butt, and me wearing jeans and sneakers or hospital scrubs (yes, I work at a hospital), I just had to get cute! & since its Friday you know what that means! A Link Up with Eboni over at The Fashionista Next Door for her famous Style Me Friday. This week’s inspiration was pencil skirts.

Even though my legs are my best asset, skirts & dresses are just not my style. I do love them, but just not on me unfortunately. I dug this BCBG skirt from deep within my closet, that I’ve probably officially wore legit once. Inspired by the beautiful Kim Kardashian (who by the way looks beyond amazing), I decided to give this skirt a shot.

Unfortunately, this skirt is so old, BCBG doesn’t even sell it anymore. As for the shirt, I purchased it at my favorite store Target, and the pumps are Steve Madden.

Now head on over to The Fashionista Next Door & check out how the other ladies wore their pencil skirts.
